Since I have two boys, the younger one doesn’t get a bunch of brand new clothes or toys. However, he is starting to have his own separate interests that differ a bit from big brother, so NOW I feel like I can actually get him gifts that are for him specifically.

The first thing I do when brainstorming gifts for the kiddos is to make a list of their interests and favorite shows. Here is my list for Orion:

I usually start Christmas shopping early so I can watch the prices and wait until things are on sale to actually purchase items. I simplify this process by making each of the boys an Amazon Wish List and check it regularly for deals and price drops. I have saved SO much money doing this the past few years!

Tractor (and Remote Control) Christmas Gifts:

• John Deere RC Tractor – How cute is this?!? Orion is totally into tractors and he loves to play with remote-controlled cars with dad and big brother, so this is the ultimate combination!
• Remote Control Tractor with Front Loader and Trailer – Okay, this is ANOTHER remote-controlled tractor, but this one has a front end loader attachment and a trailer PLUS additional farm accessories like hay bales and animals!
• Ride-On John Deere Tractor and Trailer – Definitely the ultimate gift for any tractor-loving toddler! Our nephew has one and he undeniably got its money worth out of it. I am also thinking of all the adorable photo ops having a tractor and trailer like this could provide! This will be the splurge gift for sure!

Horse Christmas Gifts:

• Qaba Bouncing Rocking Horse – For barely over $100, this is a steal that I’m sure both my boys will actually use and enjoy! It even makes clip-clop sounds haha!
• Melissa & Doug Pasture Pals – 12 Horse Set – This is so stupid cute! It has a little wooden barn to keep all the little horses in! The horses in this set have a “velvety feel” to them which is a nice change from the usual plastic barn animals that he already has.
• SmartMax My First Farm Tractor Magnetic Tractor & Horse Play Set – This set is so cool because it combines Orion’s love of tractors AND horses! This set can be mixed and matched with his other SmartMax magnetic toys. We already have the dinosaur set, so this is a no-brainer! Both boys have spent so much time playing and creating their own creatures with these magnet toys.

Train Christmas Gifts:

• Plush James Pillow Stuffy (Jay Franco Thomas and Friends) – Such a cute and cuddly plush pillow! They have a Thomas and Percy plush too, but I’m digging James right now…
• Thomas and Friends Reusable Sticker Book – We’ve been doing lots of sticker activities lately and working on fine motor skills. We haven’t done a train sticker book yet, so this will be a fun surprise! Toot toot, baby.
• Automatic Domino Train – This may *partially* be a gift for me too! I always loved playing with dominos as a kid and this automatic train that sets up the dominos has me more excited than I admittedly should be.

Sticker Book Christmas Gifts:

In addition to the Thomas and Friends Reusable Sticker Book listed above, I’ll definitely be getting a few “normal” sticker books. Working on sticker books regularly has helped improve Orion’s vocabulary as well as his fine motor skills. He will routinely go get one of his sticker books out and bring it to me so we can work on it; he never gets bored of these!

• First 100 Words Sticker Book – Roger Priddy is awesome. We have multiple books by him and all of them are favorites!
• Numbers, Colors, and Shapes Sticker Book – Also by Roger Priddy. I think we’ll have the entire collection after we get these two.

We probably watch too much television in our home. Shaun the Sheep, Paw Patrol, and Gabby’s Dollhouse are all quoted by us more than I care to admit. I’ll get some television-related Christmas gifts too:

• Paw Patrol Slippers – It’s just not Christmas without some new cozy slippers!
• Shaun the Sheep Plush and his cool buddy Bitzer. Rrar-raar. Mama needs a Baa-Gherita
• Gabby’s Dollhouse Finger Puppets – Probably the most adorable finger puppets in existence.
• Pillow Pets Paw Patrol Chase Nightlight Star Projector – We love our snoozie snugglies and this one doubles as a nightlight that automatically turns off after 20 minutes! Now go the f@*% to sleep!!!
